The Young Guns Tour

Enjoy the talents of two of Canada’s fastest rising country stars when the ‘Young Guns’ tour hits the Algonquin Theatre for a matinee performance on Sunday March 2, 2014. They’re called One More Girl. Except, actually, they’re two. It’s the contradictory sorta thing you’re going to get from this pair. Just take the music: There’s no real category for the country/alt/rock/pop extravaganza that is One More Girl, but it’s become increasingly evident why these two have been signed to major deals alongside label mates like Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lady Gaga. One More Girl has shared stages with the likes of Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and Toby Keith, and just finished up some dates supporting Jason Aldean’s tour. In 2010 Britt and Carly were honored with the Canadian Radio Music Award’s ‘Best New Country Artist’. The same year they won the CCMA’s ‘Rising Star’ award, as well as the BCCMA ‘Single of the Year’, ‘Group or Duo’, ‘Album’ and ‘Entertainer of the Year’. Brett Kissel is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter who has released two independent albums, sold out countless shows, and earned two Canadian Country Music Association Award nominations, becoming its youngest nominee ever. Brett Kissel is now ready to release his major label debut album through Warner Music Canada, Started With A Song. But even before the album’s release, Kissel has already made radio history. With more than 93% of Canadian Country stations adding the first single “Started With A Song,” the track eclipsed the record for most adds at Canadian Country radio in one week, a record previously held by Taylor Swift.
