The Nature of Healing, an internationally award-winning film documentary, is the riveting spoken truth of seven Survivors of The Mohawk Institute in Brantford, Ontario. The "Mushholeā€¯, opened in 1840-1970, is the first and longest operating Indian residential school in Canada. Covering 350 acres of land, young Indigenous children were taken from their homes and communities and forced to attend.

This full feature film, produced and directed by Canadian Indigenous filmmaker Faith Howe of JamLab Productions is a story of resistance, resilience and healing. Faith's bloodline is Mohawk from Six Nations of the Grand and interwoven with Scottish, Irish and German settler DNA. The Elders, Grandfathers and Grandmothers who speak out now do so not only for themselves but for the thousands of children across Turtle Island who never could.
