Tom Thomson Paddle Art Event - Friday Sept 29th 2014

We will be hosting a live event at the Algonquin Theatre that will feature: •All 100+ paddles will be on display in the theatre so people can see them in person, we plan on stringing a couple of lines across the stage to display the paddles on the theatre's stage •We will be on hand to help people place bids as the auction comes to a closure, but anyone can bid online from their computer or mobile device by visiting www.algonquinoutfitters.com/auction •Entertainment will consist of the film "The Canoe" and we hope to have a local musician play the canoe paddle we received as one of the entries. •The Huntsville Festival of the Arts will also be hosting a painting workshop in Partner's hall between 7-9pm •Lake of Bays Brewery will be on hand with some free samples of their beers too either in Partner's hall or outside of the theatre orchestra entrance.

When: •Online Auction runs the month of September until Sept 29th at midnight •Live event at the Algonquin Theatre is 3pm until 6pm on Friday Sept 29th •The Canoe Film at 7:30pm on Friday Sept 29th

How Much: •The event is free to attend including viewing the film "The Canoe" •Obviously any bids on the paddles are a cost and there will be a $25 shipping fee if the winners wish to have their paddles shipped to them vs picking them up at one of our stores.

Where does the money go? •Proceeds from the Tom Thomson Paddle Art Auction goes to support Oxtongue Lake for Arts and Culture and the Town of Huntsville's reserve fund for Future Public Art Acquisition
